Cecylia Arzewski was concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra from , and was previously a member of the Boston Symphony, becoming the BSO's Assistant Concertmaster. In , she joined the Cleveland Orchestra as Associate Concertmaster for three years before coming to Atlanta. Born in Krakow, Poland, Ms. Arzewski began her violin studies at the age of fem, studying at the Tel Aviv Conservatory with Odeon Partos; Ivan Galamian at Juilliard and Meadowmount; and Joseph Silverstein, at the New England Conservatory of Music. Ms. Arzewski was also coached by Josef Gingold and Jascha Heifetz. She retired from her position with the Atlanta Symphony in order to devote her time to the recording of the present planerat arbete , Bach's monumental Sonatas and Partitas.

Cecylia Arzewski is a Polish (some would say American) violinist and teacher born (in Krakow, Poland) in She is known for playing in some of the top U.S. orchestras as either Concertmaster or Associate Concertmaster, namely the Cleveland Orchestra, the Boston Symphony, and the Atlanta Symphony. Although a highly gifted orchestral violinist, her solo repertoire is very extensive in fact, as extensive as almost any concert artists. The tradition of the concertmaster-soloist reaches as far back as William DeFesch and Leopold Mozart. Early life and education
[edit]Cecylia Arzewski was born to Polish-Jewish parents in Kraków, Poland.[1] Both of her parents, Bronislawa and Stanislaw Arzewski, and her brother Michael Arzewski (born ) were Holocaust survivors. Arzewski and her brother Michael (a pianist) both received the American-Israeli cultural foundation scholarship in Michael Arzewski went on to study at the Juilliard School with Eduard Steuermann and Mieczyslaw Munz.
