Circa Selections from the Permanent Collection, April 19 &#; August 11, presents paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and sculpture made between and reflecting a transitional time in the Woodstock art scene. Richard Florsheim’s Combat alludes to the opposition of the Vietnam War, while Mari Lyons’s depicts the iconic &#;hippie” style &#; long hair, vests, bell-bottom pants, loose dresses and bare feet &#; trends which became symbolic of the counterculture movement of the s. Other works parallel drastic changes in art including Bernard Steffen’s Op Art screenprint Double Vibra; William Pachner’s Color Field print Untitled (Color Flow), and Bruce Dorfman’s abstract painting and assemblage Cameo.
