    Dr. Geetha Govindasamy a senior lecturer and the Deputy Head of the Department of East Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She obtained her PhD from Monash University, Australia, M.A from the International University of Japan, M. Phil from Queens’ College, Cambridge University, UK. Dr. Govindasamy teaches courses related to East Asian regional affairs with particular reference to the Korean peninsula. Her publications can be found in local and international journals, UM Press, Springer and other reputable publishers. Thus far, she has been a recipient of various research grants from Korea Foundation, Sumitomo Foundation and local funding.
