Joe "King" Carrasco (born December 6, , as Joseph Charles Teutsch) is a Tex-Mexnew wave guitarist, vocalist and songwriter currently based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.[1]
Biography
[edit]Joe King Carrasco, who is known as the king of Tex-Mex rock 'n' roll,[2] mixes Nuevo Wavo rock and Latin rhythms. Carrasco was born on December 6, , in Moore County, Texas, the son of Tucker and Virginia Stovall Teutsch. In the 7th grade, he started playing in garage bands in the west Texas town of Dumas, Texas. He was often found on the beaches of Mexico, falling in love with the Mexican music. Back in Texas he formed the band Joe King Carrasco and El Molino, which included many of the future members of the Texas Tornados. He released "Tex-Mex Rock & Roll", his first LP in [3]

Millie had grown up in a family surrounded by good ballroom dancers and was fascinated by the dancing in movies. Through imitation, she developed a very good grasp of the Lindy Hop style. She was 15 when she first attended the Palladium as a guest, where she was noticed by the master of ceremonies and invited to compete in dance competitions. That’s when Cuban Pete saw her and asked her to be his dancing partner. They eventually got married.
They quickly became a legendary couple and started performing professionally at an increasing number of venues. They were called to perform for the movie “Mambo Madness,”

- Tlaquepaque - CD - Joe King Carrasco landed back in the studio late - this time with Ernie Durawa, Speedy Sparks and Augie Meyers, three members of his first band, El Molino and recorded a new CD, ‘Tlaquepaque’. The plan was to record a couple songs, but they couldn't stop and ended up recording a full CD, all written by Joe King Carrasco.
