MICK JONES
The architect behind Foreigner’s extraordinary catalogue of smash hits, Mick has crafted some of rock music’s most enduring songs and produced 10 multi-platinum albums. Grammy and Golden Globe nominated songwriter, performer and producer and winner of the prestigious Ivor Novello songwriter award in Britain in , Mick first began playing guitar in his early teens. "I knew early on that I could never hold a regular job. I had to play guitar. I had to somehow make my way into music" he says.

Foreigner is an American rock band from New York City. Formed in , the group originally included lead vocalist Lou Gramm, lead guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist Mick Jones, rhythm guitarist and woodwind player Ian McDonald, bassist Ed Gagliardi, drummer Dennis Elliott, and keyboardist Al Greenwood.
The band's current lineup includes lead vocalist Kelly Hansen (since ), lead guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist Mick Jones (since , and the only remaining original member), bassist Jeff Pilson (since ), keyboardist Michael Bluestein (since ), rhythm and lead guitarist Bruce Watson (since ), drummer Chris Frazier (since ), and rhythm guitarist Luis Maldonado (since ).[1]

Lead guitarist Mick Jones has been the one constant, remaining with the group from their founding in through the present day. Lead singer Lou Gramm, whose fiery vocals made Foreigner's songs jump right out at you, was with the group in two stints, from and Johnny Edwards filled in as lead singer during Gramm's absence. Dennis Elliott is the third-longest member in this great group, playing drums and percussion from Al Greenwood was Foreigner's keyboardist from (spotlighted on "Long, Long Way from Home").
