SERBY’S SUNDAY Q&A WITH…JOBA CHAMBERLAIN
The Post’s Steve Serby chatted with the minor-league phenom who is expected to be promoted to the Yankees and assume a key role in the bullpen:
Q: One hitter you look forward to facing?
A: David Ortiz. He always comes up with big hits and is a tough out.
Q: How would you describe your mound temperament?
A: Very focused, very competitive, fierce, not ever giving in.
Q: Fierce in what way?
A: Lower my hat, get the ball, go to work.
Q: Would you say you’re fearless?
A: Yeah.
Q: What’s it like hitting 100 mph on the radar gun?
A: It feels good. I’d rather throw it hard and have an idea where it’s going.
Q: What’s it like when you feel dominant out there?
A: A feeling you can’t describe. To know somebody 60 feet, six inches away wants to hit the ball as hard as he can right back at you. Maybe I got something you can’t hit

JOBA VOWS TO PITCH IN 2012
Times wires
TAMPA - RHP Joba Chamberlain hobbled to a chair, put down his crutches and soon made a pronouncement: He expects to pitch in the majors this season.
Despite a trampoline accident that dislocated his right ankle and put him in a cast for six weeks, the Yankees reliever remained confident he would be back.
"Obviously there's a lot of things that are going to have to happen before that, but what we've been told there's a great chance it's going to happen," Chamberlain said Tuesday.
Chamberlain spoke at the Yankees' spring complex five days after the injury. GM Brian Cashman said there is no timetable for his return.
"No one can tell you whether he'll pitch this year," Cashman said. "There's a chance he can. There's a chance he might not. Is this something that can be a real issue for him going forward? Yes. I'm optimistic that the best-case scenario will work out and he'll pitch again this year, but that's my heart and gut. I don't

BULLPEN MAY NOT BE JOBA'S FINAL CALLING
TAMPA - The long-term role for Yankees RHP Joba Chamberlain has not been determined.
General manager Brian Cashman on Sunday didn't commit to or rule out Chamberlain getting an opportunity to be in the rotation next season. Chamberlain was moved into a relief role Thursday when he lost out to RHP Phil Hughes in the fifth-starter competition.
Cashman said his focus is on this årstid and no decisions have been made on Chamberlain's status for 2011.
"We haven't had any team meetings and said, 'All right, he's a reliever for the rest of his life.' No, we didn't do that," Cashman said. "Essentially, though, I think what the mind-set has got to be, he's not going to help us in our cirkelrörelse right now because we picked fem guys. His role on the club is to help us out of the pen."
Chamberlain said he is taking things day by day. "It's one of those things where you can't look ahead because you've got to be focused on what you're doing
