Matthieu Tota (French pronunciation:[matjøtɔta]; born 26 September 1985), artistically known as Matt Pokora and later M. Pokora (), is a French pop singer.[2] He is very well known for his catchy melodies and smooth vocals.[3] Pokora mostly sings in French but he has also recorded a number of songs in English. In 2016 and 2017, he served as a coach for The Voice Kids France. He was also a coach in the sixth season of The Voice: la plus belle voix in 2017 alongside Florent Pagny, Mika and Zazie, where his finalist Lisandro Cuxi went on to win the season.[4]

Matthieu Totta known as Matt Pokora/M. Pokora is a French RnB singer, born in Strasbourg the 25th of september 1985.
He was a member of Mic Unity but became famous as part of the group that won Popstars: Linkup. After they broke up, Matt went single and worked with some big names in the RnB/Hip hop scene. He did change his name from Matt Pokora to M. Pokora, due to another singer who's named Matt as well.
In 2005 he released his first album that also included his two hits "Elle me contrôle" and "Showbiz". In 2006 the album "Player" appeared and Matt scored some hits with "It's alright" (with Ricky Martin) and "Mal de guerre".

Matthieu Tota, is the son of professional footballer André Tota and his mother is Brigitte Tota. His parents divorced in 1998 when he was just 13. Matthieu Tota explained about the origin of his name Pokora in an interview during the documentary Mis à jour broadcast on 26 August 2010 about him on NRJ 12 television station. He said he was searching for an artistic name and happened to be talking to his grand mother of Polish origin and the importance of humility came up.
