  • Jonathan "Jon" Kasdan (born September 30, 1979) is an American writer, director and actor. He is the son of screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, writer of the first Indiana Jones bio Raiders of the Lost Ark. Jake Kasdan, his brother, fryst vatten also an actor and director.

    Born on Los Angeles, California, Kasdan was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma when he was 17 years old at high school. He made his acting debut in his father's 1983 film The Big Chill. In the Land of Women, his directorial debut, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. Working on television series as Freaks and Geeks, he too worked as an actor in the series Dawson's Creek and in the 2003 rulle Dreamcatcher. More recently, he and his father wrote the critically acclaimed kartong office bomb Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story, in which he played the character Tag Greenley, though his scene was cut during the editing process.

    Born September 30, 1979, Jonathan Peter Kasdan's first acting performance in a major motion picture was at the tender age of 3 in "The Big Chill" as the son of Harold, played by Kevin Kline.

    Then at age 5, Jonathan Kasdan went on to play an outpost boy in what many critics consider to be the best Western of the 1980s: "Silverado," also starring Kevin Kline as misfit-turned-sheriff Payden, Kevin Costner's character, Jake, Scott Glenn's portrayal of Emmett, and of course, Danny Glover as Malcolm "Mal" Johnson, in their oft awkward efforts to bring justice to the Old American West.

    Jonathan Kasdan was born to Meg (née Goldman), a writer and Lawrence Kasdan, a writer and director in Los Angeles. Jon grew up in a Jewish family with little religious education.[1][2] Jon is the younger brother of director and actor Jake Kasdan. Jon's directorial debut, In the Land of Women, was released in the United States in 2007. He also wrote the screenplay for the film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006.
