LUCKNOW: In order to promote Ritesh and Rajnish Misra, the sons of Pt Rajan Misra, one of the famous duo of classical singers: Rajan and Sajan Misra, a programme was organised by Doordarshan at the Ganna Kisan Sansthan Hall on Wednesday evening. The young singers began their recital with a vilambit composition in Rag Megh: Dheer Dharoon Kaise, followed by a song in Jhaptaal: Badar Ki Dhamak Suni. They also sang a drut in ektaal madhyalaya: Kajara Kare Kare. This was followed by a recital of their father and uncle Rajan and Sajan Misra. They picked up the Raag Gaud Malhar, singing: Kahe Ho Pritam Hamse Ankhiyan Pher Dali, a vilambit in ektaal and then a drut: Balma Bahar Aai, the singers mesmerised the audience with their soulful renditions. Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri, Kalraj Misra and Pt Ganesh Prasad Misra, former principal, Bhatkhande Music College, were present on the occasion.
