PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP)—Lilia Marcela Oviedo Pay was born in Ibague, Colombia, a humble town without luxuries or wealth.

Selling coffee, cleaning houses, and selling hand-made items are just some of the things she did to bring food home to her 3 daughters.

Marcela says she had to find ways to provide for her family because between rent and food, covering one meant not being able to cover the other.

But the main thing that pushed her to leave everything behind in Colombia and start from zero in this country, was much deeper than that.

“I had a relationship, and that relationship caused me a lot of pain,” said Marcela. “I cry because, through all that pain that the person made me go through, I know that I also caused a lot of pain. So I’m trying to heal those wounds that by accident I caused on other people, and healing the wounds that that person left on me because it was very tough.
